What website information do I need to give Digital Zoo to build my website?
Please provide Digital Zoo with the following:
- Large high-quality logo in transparent PNG format
- Corporate Identity if available - if you have a colour scheme in mind please let us have this.
- Website Domain(s) and email accounts to be used for website communication
- About section - who, what, when, where, team, experience etc.
- Pages required and page content for all pages
- A few blog posts
- Full contact details (Physical address, Postal address, Contact numbers, Email Addresses)
- Images for the website including images for galleries
- Documents for download in PDF format only
- Credentials, qualifications, compliance, admissions details, previous clients
- Legal pages - Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Disclaimer
- Social Media Pages - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.
All text content and website imagery that you provide will be welcomed. If you have sales or marketing material please make sure we get to see and receive this with your content.
For e-commerce websites we'll need complete product information and high resolutions images for all products and categories. We will also require additional payment gateway information that will be discussed via email.
How long does it take to build a website?
This completely depends on what you need. It takes longer to build a 1000 page mega site than a smaller eight-page brochure website.
Digital Zoo is capable of developing your website as quickly as it takes for you to provide us with your content text and pictures. This can take anything between a few days for a simple website or a few months for more complex website developments and e-commerce websites.
Generally speaking, the website will only take a long time if we are still waiting for text and images from you.

We certainly can do! It’s important to approach website redesigns sensitively to make sure your reasons for redesigning are valid. This will ensure the project is an overall success from your ROI point of view.

How much does a website cost?
The cost of a website can vary depending on various factors, just like the cost of a house may vary. We quote on website projects depending on your unique requirements and the number of pages.
Are there any other costs for my website?
Yes, we charge a monthly subscription fee that includes the following features:
- CMS (Content Management System)
- Website Backups
- Secure Hosting
- Security Updates
- SSL Certificate
- Automatic XML Sitemap
- Call to Action Widgets
- Contact Form with Lead Database (.CSV file)
- Blog Functionality
- Social Media Buttons
There may also be costs for photos if you can’t supply them yourself. However, we always do our best to use stock images sites that are free where possible. Other than that, we always make extra charges clear upfront so you know exactly where you stand.
What are the payment terms for the design and development of my website?
We like to work on a 50% upfront basis and the outstanding 50% payable when the development has been completed and signed off. Websites will not be launched if full payment for the development has not been received.
Monthly subscriptions are due on or before the 1st of each month, as this is a pre-paid service.
Domain renewals are payable annually on or before the domain expiry date.
